Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking a Lead Baker to provide leadership and direction to bakery staff. This 100% FTE role runs 11:00am to 7:30pm and may include shift and weekend differentials to meet department needs.

You will oversee production of bakery items, handling artisan and custom items, and you will place orders and manage inventory while upholding quality and safety standards such as ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required, but a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Culinary training is preferred.
• ServSafe certification required within first 6 months of employment.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Hours are 11:00am-730pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This position includes a shift and weekend differential.

We are seeking a Lead Baker to:

• Provide oversight, preparation, and production of bakery items.
• Be responsible for specialized bakery products that require a greater skill level, such as artisan and custom items.
• Place necessary orders and manage inventory of bakery items.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred

Work Experience

3 years food production/bakery experience; including 18 months bakery experience Required

Licenses & Certifications

ServSafe Certification within first 6 months of employment Required
