Starbucks Corp. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own the backend and infrastructure for partner-facing applications. You will direct architecture, deployment, and production health, setting technical direction across services and teams.

You will mentor engineers, lead design reviews, define testing strategies, and ensure secure authentication. Onsite collaboration with product, QA, and platform teams is expected.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including backend or infrastructure delivery.
• Strong backend development skills in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with federated GraphQL layer or API gateway and distributed systems.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent) in production cloud environments.
• Experience owning services end to end: architecture, delivery, deployment, monitoring, and production support.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the technical lead for the backend and infrastructure, owning architecture, delivery, deployment, monitoring, and production support for the Node.js/TypeScript services.
• Set backend standards, patterns, and technical direction across services and teams.
• Own the IaC behind services, provisioning hosting, databases, caching, messaging, and secrets.
• Lead technical design and code reviews, coordinate frontend/product/platform dependencies.
• Design and operate integration layers to downstream APIs and third-party systems.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment health in the cloud.
• Drive testing approaches (unit/integration/end-to-end/contract) with QA.
• Lead troubleshooting and improve monitoring, alerting, and production health.
• Ensure secure authentication/authorization (OAuth2/OIDC, JWTs) and reliability targets.
