Kelly Services is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer in the Boston area to help build out an AI-driven CRM platform. You will own backend architecture, API development, and data modeling to support scalable customer workflows.

The role requires strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and multi-tenant SaaS design, along with prior technical leadership experience. The position offers robust benefits and a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Strong backend architecture and system design experience.
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with SaaS platforms, multi-tenant architectures, and scalability.
• Time spent in technical leadership roles (tech lead, staff engineer, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead backend architecture and development for core platform initiatives.
• Scale and enhance the API platform, including performance, versioning, and multi-tenant capabilities.
• Design and develop scalable backend systems and customer-facing platform features.
• Build and maintain core engineering frameworks and platform services.
• Explore and implement AI-powered product capabilities.
