Job summary

Amazon is seeking an AWS Carbon Assurance Lead in Seattle to own end-to-end third-party assurance for AWS, coordinating data, boundaries, and documentation to meet assurance standards. The role partners with Legal, Finance, and Procurement to ensure credible measurements and robust internal controls across carbon accounting scopes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and large programs.
• Experience working with third-party vendors or in similar environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in sustainability reporting, assurance, or environmental data management.
• Strong understanding of carbon accounting frameworks (GHG Protocol) and/or Scope 1/2/3.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end third-party assurance engagements for AWS and coordinate with data owners to meet standards.
• Coordinate AWS Sustainability Console recast processes, trigger events and governance decisions.
• Own the AWS assurance improvement plan for continuous efficiency and efficacy of the process.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and scientists to support new features benefiting customers and the experience.
• Resolve complex sustainability inquiries and provide long-term fixes to product engineering.
