Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Lead, Sustainability Assurance to design and scale assurance for global sustainability disclosures across regulatory regimes. You will partner with Legal, Finance, and Accounting to ensure accuracy and defensibility of reporting and present results to senior leadership.

You will drive an assurance-ready framework, manage external engagements, and translate complex regulations into actionable internal processes while navigating multi-jurisdictional requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in multiple finance and accounting roles
• 6+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysis
• 6+ years scaling controllership through continuous improvement projects
• 5+ years dissecting financial data to support business strategy
• 5+ years leading cross-functional initiatives driving financial performance and strategy
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent quantitative experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale an assurance-readiness framework for sustainability disclosures across multiple regulatory regimes
• Coordinate and manage external assurance engagements with third-party providers
• Launch mechanisms to ensure cross-jurisdictional consistency of assurance approaches
• Conduct gap assessments of reporting practices against evolving requirements
• Build and maintain a centralized audit trail of evidence and methodologies
• Partner with Sustainability, Finance, Legal and Accounting teams to align reporting with financial processes
• Synthesize regulatory and sustainability concepts into clear communications for senior leadership
