Job summary

Amazon in Seattle seeks an Audit Manager for AWS Supply Chain Finance, Compliance and Review Program to lead comprehensive financial audits and risk assessments across a global organization delivering cloud infrastructure.

You will drive controllership initiatives, partner with functional leads, and present findings to Director+ level stakeholders, while delivering measurable improvements in controls and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance or related field.
• 3+ years in finance/accounting/supply chain with audit/risk experience.
• CFA and 4+ years of SOX/audit engagements experience.

Responsibilities

• Audit Execution & Compliance: Conduct 8-12 financial audits annually across AWS Supply Chain operations.
• Audit Execution & Compliance: Execute contract compliance reviews for vendor agreements valued at $50M+ annually.
• Audit Execution & Compliance: Manage 3-5 concurrent audit engagements with third-party consultants.
• Audit Execution & Compliance: Complete audit cycles within 1–2 quarters from planning through reporting.
• Risk Management & Control Design: Perform quarterly risk assessments across AWS Supply Chain processes.
• Risk Management & Control Design: Identify and document control gaps, delivering actionable recommendations per audit.
• Risk Management & Control Design: Design and implement control enhancements that reduce compliance exceptions/defects by 20%+.
• Risk Management & Control Design: Analyze vendor records, reports, and operating practices to ensure adherence to finance controls.
• Stakeholder Partnership & Reporting: Present audit findings and recommendations to Director+ level stakeholders monthly.
• Stakeholder Partnership & Reporting: Partner with 5-7 AWS Supply Chain functional leads globally to develop controllership strategies.
• Stakeholder Partnership & Reporting: Deliver written audit reports within 20 business days of fieldwork completion.
• Stakeholder Partnership & Reporting: Translate complex operational and technical issues into executive-ready business narratives.
• Process Improvement: Drive remediation processes that address root causes of control failures that eliminates cost leakage in the future.
• Process Improvement: Implement process improvements that increase audit efficiency.
• Process Improvement: Reduce recurring audit findings by 20% year over year through enhanced control design.
