Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Lead Avionics Maintenance Technician to guide a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality, on-time aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument system work.

This role requires strong troubleshooting, FAA paperwork familiarity, and the ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate schedules, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance in a busy hangar environment.

Qualifications

• As a Lead, you will supervise multiple technicians and coordinate project flow.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems.
• Experience with FAA paperwork, work orders and regulatory forms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs with high quality and on-time delivery.
• Manage workload, schedule, and project flow across multiple projects.
• Perform avionics support, removal/installation of panels and components, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems as designated.
• Coordinate FAA paperwork, log books, and billing with customers.
