Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking an Avionics Systems Integration Engineer VI to lead multidisciplinary engineering activities for aircraft airworthiness and system-level integration across multiple platforms.

You will review contractor packages for compliance with Government airworthiness standards and mentor junior engineers while advancing engineering best practices within the Airworthiness organization.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in engineering and 16 years related engineering experience, or a Doctorate degree and minimum of 12 years of related experience.
• Well-established reputation in principal technical disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to direct senior technical personnel in R&D, integration, and sustainment of complex systems.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-disciplinary engineering activities across electrical, avionics, structures, propulsion, flight controls, software, safety, and configuration management.
• Lead development and review of engineering packages for aircraft modifications and ISR payloads.
• Conduct peer reviews of analyses, drawings, ICDs, and installation packages.
• Evaluate impacts on performance, safety, maintainability, and airworthiness.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary reviews for technical consistency.
• Lead trade studies on integration approaches and risk mitigation.
• Review system architecture, interfaces, and requirements.
• Support design reviews and airworthiness processes (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, ARB).
• Coordinate activities for developmental and operational testing.
• Review safety analyses (FHA, SSA, FMEA, FTA).
• Develop verification matrices and risk assessments.
• Coordinate sustainment, directives, and engineering dispositions.
• Provide recommendations to Chief Engineers and Airworthiness Authorities.
• Produce memorandums, white papers, and executive briefings.
• Review CAD models, drawings, and modification packages.
