Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking a Senior Propulsion & Mechanical Systems Integration Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across propulsion and mechanical systems integration for multiple military aircraft platforms. You will review, integrate, and assess contractor modifications, supporting Government engineers and Airworthiness Boards.

You will lead technical reviews, coordinate with OEM data, perform risk analyses, and mentor junior engineers within the Airworthiness organization.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited BS in engineering with 14+ years' related experience
MS in engineering with 10+ years' related experience
Doctorate in engineering with 8+ years' related experience
Direct senior technical personnel in R&D, integration and sustainment of complex systems
Proficient with computer-based engineering tools and reports

Responsibilities

Lead technical reviews of propulsion and mechanical system modifications.
Evaluate engine bleed-air, cooling, thermal management, vibration and operability impacts.
Review interfaces including hydraulics, landing gear, brakes, ECS, and fuel systems.
Assess propulsion integration impacts on performance, margins, and maintainability.
Review contractor analyses, CAD models, installation drawings, and test plans.
Provide engineering analyses for risk assessments and technical decisions.
Coordinate with OEMs and government stakeholders for sound integration.
Support ground/engine/testing and flight test planning.
Prepare memoranda, briefings, and recommendations.
Mentor junior engineers within the Airworthiness organization.
