Job summary

Acron Aviation, a leading avionics innovator in Phoenix, seeks a Lead System Engineer to drive design, implementation, and certification of a new surface alerting safety function. You will coordinate with software, hardware, program management, and customers to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates possess strong project management, systems engineering expertise, and hands-on experience with ARP-4754A/DO-178 processes, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C/C++.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering required; 9+ years experience or graduate degree with 7+ years.
  • Experience writing system requirements and validation procedures.
  • Experience in systems engineering with MATLAB, Simulink, Python; C/C++ welcomed.
  • Knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178 processes.
  • Experience with avionics products (ACAS/TCAS/ADS-B/SURF-A).

Responsibilities

  • Develop new system designs and write systems specifications.
  • Develop system-level architecture, create/validate requirements, support testing.
  • Develop system test procedures and test scripts; execute and analyze results.
  • Assist with flight tests and analyze results.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers and internal functional groups.
  • Help maintain and develop engineering processes.
  • Assist in design, test and maintenance of all products.
