Job summary

Acron Aviation is seeking a Lead System Engineer to drive the design, implementation, introduction, and certification of a new surface alerting safety function. The role requires strong project management and cross-functional collaboration to deliver solutions and ensure timely execution.

The candidate will manage multiple requests, communicate with management and customers, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering required.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ with a graduate degree).
  • Experience writing system requirements and validation procedures.
  • Extensive experience in systems engineering, Matlab, Simulink, Python.
  • Experience with C or C++ is welcomed.
  • Knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178 processes.
  • Experience with avionics products (ACAS/TCAS/ADS-B/SURF-A).

Responsibilities

  • Developing new systems designs, writing systems specifications, and supporting development.
  • Developing system level architecture, creating and validating systems requirements, and supporting testing.
  • Developing system test procedures and test scripts, executing tests and analyzing results.
  • Assisting with flight tests and analyzing results.
  • Interfacing with customers, suppliers and internal functional groups.
  • Help maintain and develop engineering processes.
  • Assistance in the design, test and maintenance of all products.
