Job summary

Textron Aviation, Orlando, FL, seeks a Technical Service Manager, Avionics (1st Shift) to lead a team of technicians in the aircraft service center. You will be the main contact for avionics maintenance, ensure hangar operations run smoothly, and provide updates to the Customer Service Manager to maintain customer satisfaction.

You will supervise technicians, implement lean improvements, monitor performance metrics, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or in lieu of degree a minimum of 5 years aircraft maintenance experience and/or relative supervisory experience required
• A&P License is required
• A Repairman Certificate/EASA License is helpful

Responsibilities

• Lean Manufacturing: implement lean processes to reduce waste and improve productivity (5S).
• Quality Assurance: ensure work meets policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Safety & Efficiency: oversee safety protocols, quality control, schedule adherence, and overall efficiency.
• Performance Monitoring: track shop performance metrics and identify trends with the Maintenance Manager.
• Team Supervision: assign tasks, coach, evaluate, and manage disciplinary actions.
• Customer Follow-Up: resolve post-delivery issues and ensure open issues are resolved promptly
