Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle seeks a Manager of Lunar MK1 Component Test to lead Avionics & RF component testing across development through production. You will coordinate test campaigns, drive risk mitigation, and collaborate with Design Responsible Engineers, Operations, and Quality to deliver integrated test solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• 6+ years hands-on experience in development, qualification, or acceptance testing of electrical/avionics systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform causal analysis on faults.
• Proven ability to build and retain a high-performing engineering team.
• Commitment to safety culture, open communication, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform component- and system-level analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across organizational boundaries.
• US citizen or eligible for export-controlled work status.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for avionics and RF component testing.
• Develop test plans, procedures, and requirements for development and production.
• Review and approve critical technical outputs including test plans and verification reports.
• Coordinate with internal customers to plan resources for test campaigns.
• Track work to ensure milestones are delivered on schedule.
• Identify and mitigate risks; escalate when needed.
• Establish team metrics and data-driven decision frameworks.
• Oversee lifecycle of engineers including development and coaching.
