Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an Avionics PCB Librarian to lead the development and maintenance of company-wide eCAD libraries. You will work with the ACE PCB design team on high-performance, high-reliability boards for aerospace applications, leveraging Altium and IPC standards.

You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineering to ensure design requirements are met while mentoring junior resources.

Qualifications

• 5+ years creating and maintaining PCB part libraries (symbols & footprints).
• Aerospace/defense PCB layout experience required.
• Proficient with Altium Designer Pro/365/Enterprise for library and layout.
• IPC-6012 Class 3 and IPC-7352 knowledge and experience.
• HDI design with fine-pitch BGA and high-power constraints.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain corporate eCAD component libraries.
• Design and layout high-performance PCBs for aerospace applications.
• Create detailed PCB layout files from schematics using Altium (Gerbers, FAB, ASY).
• Ensure practices meet industry standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PCB design and layout issues.
• Support PCB development process improvements with cross-functional teams.
