Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics PCB Layout Engineer in California to design high-performance PCBs for aerospace applications. You will work with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams to ensure layouts meet stringent requirements and industry standards.

Proficiency in Altium and best practices for high-speed, impedance-controlled layouts is essential. You will mentor junior engineers, develop footprint libraries, and contribute to PCB development processes while maintaining

Qualifications

Minimum 5–7 years of PCB layout and design experience.
Strong understanding of digital, analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed layout.
Experience with international industry standards and high-reliability aerospace PCBs.
Proficiency in creating schematics and detailed PCB layouts.
Ability to earn trust and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Design and layout high-performance, high-reliability PCBs for aerospace applications.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineers to meet requirements.
Develop and maintain Altium-based schematics and layouts.
Ensure adherence to industry standards and manufacturing practices.
Create and maintain PCB layout documentation; perform DFM/DFT reviews.
Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
