Job summary

Vast in Long Beach is seeking a Supervisor of Avionics Manufacturing - Electro Mechanical to lead the second-shift electronics assembly team on the Haven program. You will organize tasks, mentor technicians, ensure IPC J-STD-001 compliance, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with AS9100/ISO9001 quality requirements.

This full-time role requires 5+ years in electronics/electro-mechanical manufacturing and 3+ years in leadership, with a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics/electro-mechanical assembly manufacturing.
• Experience leading production teams.
• Understanding of IPC J-STD-001 soldering standards and certification processes.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate second-shift electro-mechanical and electronics assembly work.
• Lead, mentor, and promote safety, quality, and productivity on the production floor.
• Train new technicians in soldering techniques and IPC standards.
• Support soldering, PCB assembly, wiring, and conformal coating tasks.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and improve throughput.
