Job summary

True Anomaly in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior/Lead Avionics Production Engineer to own production engineering strategy for avionics hardware across spacecraft programs. You will build scalable manufacturing processes, lead production engineering teams, and partner with design engineering to drive manufacturability from concept through high-rate production.

Level and compensation will be determined by experience and scope.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, electrical, computer engineering or related field.
Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing.
Strong communication and collaboration across functions.
Experience with PLM/MES and data controls.
AS9100 experience and quality systems.
Hands-on hardware fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

Lead avionics production engineers and manage performance.
Own production engineering strategy and execution for avionics components.
Drive design-for-manufacturability through technical reviews.
Set up scaling of spacecraft avionics manufacturing for developmental and rate production.
Develop documentation and work instructions for assembly, integration, and test.
Provide on-floor support to address bottlenecks and issues.
Drive continuous improvements using production metrics.
Collaborate with Supply Chain on vendor and make/buy decisions.
Oversee calibration and certification of ground support equipment.
