West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Avionics Maintenance Technician in Chattanooga, TN. The role focuses on leading a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality electrical, electronic, and instrument system work, with hands-on troubleshooting, repairs, and coordination of project flow.

The position requires a strong supervisory background, FAA paperwork proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years on aircraft maintenance/avionics with supervisory experience.
• Advanced knowledge of FAA paperwork and work orders.
• Experience using Corridor systems.
• Strong team management and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete necessary jobs/tasks with sound judgement.
• Turn over work to the next shift smoothly.
• Reduce turn time for aircraft where possible.
• Train/mentor technicians on projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload and ensure progress.
• Coordinate multi-project schedules and production flow.
• Perform avionics support, including removal/installation and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on aircraft as needed.
• Inspect aircraft and components for quality and compliance.
• Assist with FAA forms and paperwork as required.
