Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Lead Avionics Install Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3pm-1am). The role focuses on leading a team to deliver high-quality avionics installations, with strong knowledge of aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems.

Expect hands-on troubleshooting, customer interaction, and project coordination in a hangar environment. The position offers a 10–15% shift premium, paid lunch, and three-day weekends, plus a benefits package

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical tech school training.
• Aircraft-specific factory training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or valid passport ideal, but not mandatory.
• Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to deliver high-quality, timely avionics installations.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems before and after modifications.
• Inspect aircraft and components as required during installations.
• Coordinate work flow for projects and supervise team to ensure on-time completion.
• Process work orders, FAA paperwork, and pricing for customers.
• Provide ground test and flight test support as needed.
• Communicate clearly with customers and maintain professional relationships.
• Lead multiple projects independently and manage day-to-day tasks on shift.
