Job summary

West Star Aviation, Inc. in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician for the weekend shift. This on-site role involves troubleshooting avionics units and aircraft systems, removing/installing panels, and verifying performance.

Proficiency in English and basic computer use is required. We offer benefits starting at hire (medical, dental, 401K match, time off accruals), plus an 11.11% shift differential with a 3-day workweek.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting and repair of avionics and aircraft systems.
• Ability to interpret maintenance manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Communicate in English clearly, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training and data bases.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair avionics units to component level (Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio, Autopilot).
• Perform general avionics support, including removal/install of panels and components.
• Evaluate and test systems on aircraft; verify performance and integrity.
• Maintain shop facilities, tools, and equipment to support operations.
• Coordinate with customers on project scope, pricing, and support.
• Work independently on projects and mentor others as needed.
