Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Westfield, MA is seeking a Lead Avionics/Electrical Technician to coordinate electrical and avionics activities on large corporate aircraft. You will oversee technicians, review schedules, and ensure compliance with FARs and maintenance procedures.

The role requires 8 years avionics/electrical experience or 2 years of schooling plus 6 years related experience, plus FAA A&P license or repairman certificate within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience on large/mid-size aircraft.
• 8 years experience in aircraft avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and six (6) years related experience.
• FAA A&P license or be able to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date.
• FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and completes tasks on work authorizations to meet the master schedule.
• Coordinates efforts of Electrical and Avionics activities to meet aircraft schedules and deadlines.
• Supervises and instructs electrical technicians with troubleshooting guidance and procedures.
• Reviews daily job charging and ensures accuracy of inputs.
• Maintains a preventive maintenance program on test equipment and tools.
• Maintains knowledge of Aircraft Service Changes and other maintenance publications.
• Supervises a safety program in hangar area and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Ensures proper logs and records; enforces FOD and tool control programs.
