Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace seeks a Lead Avionics/Electrical Technician in St. Louis on First Shift (6:00am–4:30pm). The role plans and coordinates all electrical/avionics activities, ensuring aircraft schedules and parts flow align with maintenance needs.

Requires 8 years avionics/electrical experience or equivalent education plus FAA A&P or repairman cert. FCC or NCATT preferred. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities accompany this senior position.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience on large/mid-size aircraft.
• 8 years experience in aircraft avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and six (6) years related experience.
• FAA A&P license or repairman certificate within 30 days of start date. FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and completes tasks on work authorizations to meet the master schedule.
• Coordinates Electrical and Avionics activities to meet aircraft schedules and deadlines.
• Supervises and instructs electrical technicians with guidance on troubleshooting and inspections.
• Reviews daily job charging for personnel to ensure input accuracy.
• Maintains a preventive maintenance program on test equipment and tools.
• Maintains knowledge of ASC, Customer Bulletins, inspection schedules, vendor information.
• Enforces safety programs including 5-S, FOD and tool control.
• Able to adapt to sudden schedule changes; coordinates with other disciplines on projects.
