Zusammenfassung

Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) is seeking AVID Tutors to support middle and high school students as part of the AVID program. AVID Tutors will facilitate student-led tutorial groups, model inquiry and critical thinking, and play an integral role in college readiness coursework.

Lead Tutors are scheduled to work Wednesdays and Fridays during AVID elective classes and may add 6–8 extra hours during the school day for classroom and coordinator support.

Qualifikationen

• Previous AVID tutoring experience and knowledge of AVID tutorology methodologies.
• Experience working with diverse middle school students.
• Ability to commit for the entirety of the 2026-2027 school year.
• Organized, responsible, flexible, motivated, professional.
• Positive recommendations around attendance, attitude, and performance.
• Candidates are either currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution or are college graduates.

• Facilitate AVID tutorials in middle schools.
• Assess and provide feedback on student work.
• Attend regular tutorial debrief meetings and professional learning.
• Possibly create anchor charts or resources for students.
