The University Memorial Center (UMC) at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking applications for an AV Lead Specialist. This role provides professional audio-visual support for events on-campus and off-site, guiding clients and supervising student staff.

You will lead AV setup, scheduling, training, and maintain equipment, working with event planners and UMC teams. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits within a dynamic university setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of AV field experience supporting live events.
• Broad knowledge of AV concepts, equipment, and software.
• Experience setting up and operating AV for multiple venues.
• Ability to work with others and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Setup AV equipment for UMC rooms and campus events.
• Reserve rooms in scheduling software with Event Planners.
• Schedule student staff with UMC Set-up and custodial teams.
• Act as lead AV tech at major events and guide student staff.
• Attend weekly AV/UMC set-up meetings.
• Recommend new equipment purchases and upgrades.
