Job summary

Minerva Audio Visual in New York City seeks an experienced lead technician to install, configure and upgrade AV/IT systems, home theaters, door access, and video conferencing units. You will lead a crew, read signal flow diagrams and architectural plans, and ensure high quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in audio, video, IT, surveillance or AV-related fields.
• Clean and valid Driver's License, ability to drive a van or box truck.
• Terminate F connector (coax), CAT 5/6, phoenix connector, speaker posts.
• Read signal flow diagrams, architectural drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with basic computer, audio, video and surveillance system functions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and work in attic or crawl space.
• Clear English communication and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew on AV/IT installation projects.
• Install, configure and upgrade AV/IT systems and related wiring.
• Coordinate with electricians and read wiring/architectural drawings.
• Maintain safety, organization and clean workspaces.
