Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations in Red Oak, IA is seeking an Automotive Lead Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while guiding a shop team toward exceptional customer care. This full-time role emphasizes hands-on repair, leadership, and continuous learning in a fast-paced service environment.

You will train, mentor peers, and pursue ASE certifications with company support, ensuring quality workmanship and safety standards across brake, suspension, and electrical work.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license at all times.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair and alignment/suspension.
• Experience in automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.
• Current federal/state/local certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brakes, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers clearly.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive tech through paid formal training.
• Assist and mentor technicians in performing technical activities.
• Aim to obtain ASE certifications within two years.
