Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain diagnoses and required repairs to customers and coworkers, and continuously learn new techniques in a fast-changing field.

You will mentor colleagues, maintain a clean and safe shop, and adhere to all safety policies. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months’ experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
• Section 609 Certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Customer-focused attitude and valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Availability for days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications—brake and hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment; perform maintenance services.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals as needed.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Maintain organized and safe work areas.
• Adhere to company policies and safety/environmental rules.
