Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair tires and automotive systems while delivering excellent customer service. You will explain repairs to customers and coworkers and stay updated with evolving automotive technology.

This role includes mentoring teammates and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED, with 6 months of repair experience; Section 609 certification is preferred and state inspection licensing is a

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED and valid driver’s license.
• 1) 6 months of automotive repair experience would be beneficial.
• Section 609 Certification preferred to handle refrigerant systems.
• Licensing for state inspections is a plus where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment to specifications.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and coworkers clearly.
• Continuously learn new automotive technology and techniques through formal training.
• Mentor and train fellow technicians as needed; maintain a clean, organized shop.
• Comply with all company policies, safety and environmental rules.
• Notify management of mechanical issues as they arise and assist teammates.
