Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) seeks an experienced Lead Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team to improve customer care and satisfaction. The role features a flat-rate pay model and a sign-on bonus for first-time hires.

The position emphasizes ongoing paid training, ASE certifications, and a commitment to fair compensation in line with minimum wage requirements. This is a hands-on technician role with leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Brakes diagnosis/repair experience required.
• Alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair experience.
• General automotive maintenance & tire repair skills.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment, with company-paid tests.
