Ford Motor Company in Dearborn seeks a Software or Systems Engineer for its Software Quality Assurance organization. The role focuses on early defect detection, prevention, and coaching teams to improve software engineering practices across infotainment, gateways, and telematics.

You will lead design reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform FMA analysis, and ensure ISO 26262 and ASPICE compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science with relevant experience.
• 10+ years in automotive software engineering with focus on quality.
• 3+ years in software defect detection and prevention.

Mansioni

• Lead early defect detection and prevention strategies in software development.
• Define methods for process improvement to enhance software quality and reliability.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure architectural and quality standards.
• Support Failure Mode Analysis (FMA) to identify and mitigate software risks.
• Participate in joint/quality reviews to promote best practices in software development.
• Collaborate with teams to improve software verification and validation.
• Analyze warranty and test data to identify systemic software quality issues.
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to enhance software quality for infotainment, gateways, and telematics.
• Coach teams on software quality practices, including ISO 26262 and ASPICE compliance.
• Contribute to process development and improvement within the software quality organization.
• Communicate complex software issues to engineering teams and leadership.
