Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a senior embedded software engineer to lead development within an agile team. You will review feature requirements and translate them into Simulink or C implementations, maintain functional specifications, and coordinate with the supplier software team to ensure smooth vehicle launches.

The role requires strong C skills, extensive embedded software experience, and a background in automotive ECUs.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related Field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of Embedded Software Experience, Body Control System preferred.
5+ years of programming in Embedded C, MATLAB Simulink, and Stateflow.
Strong C programming skills and portable, platform-agnostic code.
3+ years creating Proof-of-Concept applications for automotive ECUs.
2+ years in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

Lead software development within an agile team.
Reviewing feature requirements and developing software requirements based on the feature in Polarion.
Implementing the software requirements in either compliant Simulink models or compliant C functions.
Owning and maintaining requirements within the functional specification for currently implemented functions.
Work with the Full-Service Supplier software team explaining software requirements.
Support vehicle launch.
