Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Line Lead, Detailrole to supervise and develop a team at the Inspection Center. You will drive production targets, quality, and safety while coaching staff and coordinating with leadership.

The role requires leadership, lean process understanding, and strong communication. It offers a full-time schedule with competitive pay and benefits in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience using computers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated understanding of Carvana’s reconditioning processes and lean principles.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Requires standing for extended periods and exposure to varied shop conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely, while meeting production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals daily, weekly and monthly.
• Oversee day-to-day team activities; identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide coaching, development and performance feedback to team members.
• Create a work environment that supports safety, communication, and Carvana values.
• Communicate expectations and goals clearly to the team.
• Resolve conflicts among team members.
• Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Review defects and approve repairs or rejections based on cost and quality.
• Lead a team of production associates and partner with the Inspection Center GM on repairs and quality decisions.
• Train team using Quality Control standards to minimize rework and delays.
• Identify and complete repairs correctly the first time to avoid rework.
• Maintain safety and minimize hazards in the shop.
• Manage multiple associates and their development effectively.
