Job summary

USCS is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to uphold the reliability of its automated systems in a cold-chain environment. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, and coordinate with engineering to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical skills, basic pneumatics and hydraulics understanding, and proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CMMS.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Advanced technical training in maintenance.
• Two years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
• Basic electrical skills including troubleshooting and replacing/adjusting cables, sensors, reflectors.
• Basic mechanical skills including troubleshooting and replacing/adjusting chains, rollers.
• Must be able to read / understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the optimal performance of the automated system and its integrated automation components and controls.
• Diagnose system faults and implement timely resolutions for continuous operational efficiency.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance activities as directed.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and other technical documentation.
