Pay Rate: $35.20/hour + Shift Differential
Global leader in advanced food logistics, operating highly automated cold storage facilities that leverage cutting-edge technology, robotics, and warehouse automation systems. We are seeking experienced Electromechanical Technicians to join our Atlanta team and support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our automated facility. This position combines electrical maintenance, controls troubleshooting, automation support, and mechanical repair activities to ensure maximum up time of highly automated material handling systems.
This role is ideal for a skilled electrical maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting automated equipment, working with advanced technology, and solving complex electrical and mechanical challenges.
Available Shifts
1st Shift – 2 Options
- 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
- 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
3rd Shift
- 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
- Friday through Monday
- Four 10-hour shifts
- 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Shift differential applies where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electromechanical, and automated warehouse systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated material handling equipment.
- Diagnose issues involving motors, drives, sensors, relays, contactors, and electrical control circuits.
- Support automated cranes, conveyors, pallet shuttle systems, robotics, and related equipment.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and identify electrical control failures.
- Perform mechanical repairs including bearings, chains, gearboxes, conveyors, and drive components.
- Utilize CMMS systems to document maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Complete emergency repairs while minimizing operational downtime.
- Follow all safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and facility protocols.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and system modifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience with a strong electrical maintenance focus.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems in manufacturing, distribution, automated warehousing, food production, packaging, or similar environments.
- Experience working with automated or high-speed material handling systems preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of:
- AC/DC motors
- Motor controls
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Sensors and photo eyes
- Electrical panels
- Pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repair techniques.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Must be comfortable working at heights up to 175 feet.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated equipment.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated and cold storage environment as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and work in confined areas throughout the shift.
Safety Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete:
- Respirator qualification and pulmonary screening.
- Respirator fit testing.
- Compliance with grooming requirements is necessary to maintain an effective respirator seal.
- Safety training and site-specific certifications.
