Job summary

UKG is seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer to advance Quality Engineering within the Shared Services team. You will design modern automation solutions, establish DevOps best practices, and partner with multiple teams to improve quality and delivery speed.

You will mentor engineers, drive reusable automation frameworks, and enable product teams to ship high-quality software at speed. Strong AI-enabled tooling and observability are essential.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering, quality engineering, DevOps, or related field.
Strong programming in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Java, or C# with automation experience.
Hands-on browser automation testing and CI/CD tooling knowledge.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability platforms.

Responsibilities

Design scalable automation frameworks and shared services.
Develop browser, API, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Define automation standards for quality and maintainability.
Integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines and optimize feedback.
Build observability into automation platforms with logs and dashboards.
Mentor engineers and testers in automation, DevOps, and AI-assisted engineering.
