Job summary

Mission Design & Automation is seeking a Project Manager to lead custom automation projects from kickoff through completion at our Holland, MI facility. You will coordinate people, schedules, budgets, and requirements while keeping teams aligned and customers informed throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field and/or experience managing projects in automation industry.
• 5+ years of experience in the automation industry.
• 3+ years of experience in project management.
• History of successfully managing multiple customer contacts and projects at various stages of completion.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project teams through kickoffs, scope and engineering changes, scheduling, budget management, open issues, and risk analysis.
• Provide clear direction and facilitate collaboration between engineering, design, controls, fabrication, assembly, and other internal teams.
• Identify and anticipate project needs, resolve issues, and take action to keep projects on track.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects meet customer and company expectations.
• Prepare and communicate project status updates, proactively addressing critical concerns when needed.
• Support Business Development by providing project expertise related to timelines, costs, resources, and execution requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and project stakeholders through clear and consistent communication.
• Demonstrate leadership, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, work independently, and drive projects through successful completion.
