Job summary

Mission Design & Automation, located in Holland, MI, is seeking a Project Manager to lead custom automation projects from kickoff to completion. You will coordinate people, schedules, budgets, and requirements while keeping teams aligned and customers informed.

The role is a full-time onsite position with standard hours 7am-3:30pm. Eligibility includes a bachelor’s in a technical field and 5+ years in automation, plus 3+ years in project management; PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field and/or experience managing projects in the automation industry.
• 5+ years of experience in the automation industry.
• 3+ years of experience in project management.
• History of successfully managing multiple customer contacts and projects at various stages of completion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project teams through kickoffs, scope and engineering changes, scheduling, budget management, open issues, and risk analysis.
• Provide clear direction and facilitate collaboration between engineering, design, controls, fabrication, assembly, and other internal teams.
• Identify and anticipate project needs, resolve issues, and take action to keep projects on track.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects meet customer and company expectations.
• Prepare and communicate project status updates, addressing critical concerns when needed and supporting business development with timelines and costs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal teams, and project stakeholders through clear communication.
• Demonstrate leadership, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, work independently, and drive projects to successful completion.
