Job summary

Mission Design & Automation is seeking a Machine Builder in Holland, MI to assemble custom automation equipment and collaborate with engineers from concept to completion. The role involves using drawings and project specs, safely operating shop equipment, and preparing materials for finishing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to obtain Hi-Lo, Aerial Platform, and Overhead Crane certifications.
• Ability to provide your own hand tools and toolbox.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom automation equipment with engineers using drawings and specifications.
• Operate shop equipment safely and effectively.
• Prepare material for finishing and heat treatment.
• Document machine updates and communicate progress with the team.
• Take ownership of project portions and solve challenges with support from an experienced team.
• Develop skills and assume greater responsibility, including leading machine builds.
