Mission Design & Automation is seeking a Lead Machine Builder to lead assembly and commissioning of custom automation systems in Holland, MI. You will coordinate builds, mentor builders, and collaborate with engineers to ensure high-quality solutions. Travel to customer sites up to 20% is possible.

Qualifications

• High mechanical aptitude with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to read mechanical part and assembly drawings.
• Experience mentoring or coaching team members.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assembly and commissioning of custom automation equipment from build through shipment and installation.
• Plan and coordinate machine builds by assigning work, tracking progress, and adjusting priorities to meet milestones.
• Manage project schedules, labor, and resources to support budgets and timelines.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure proper assembly of equipment.
• Mentor and develop Machine Builders to promote continuous improvement.
