Job summary
227 DSX is seeking an experienced engineer to lead instrumentation and controls on municipal water/wastewater projects. You will design and implement automation using AB PLCs, Siemens SIMATIC 505, and migration paths to Rockwell platforms, with strong emphasis on safety and standards compliance.
Responsibilities include leading a team, contributing to P&IDs and specs, and coordinating with clients and project managers.
Qualifications
- Four-year engineering degree or 5+ years in the field.
- 5+ years with SIMATIC 505 hardware and AB ControlLogix PLCs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Work on instrumentation and controls for municipal water and wastewater projects.
- Develop control strategies; input to P&IDs and specifications.
- Design and integrate automation systems (PLC, HMI, DCS, networks).
- Participate in control panel design; BOM, cabling, programming, and commissioning.
- Perform FAT, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers; adhere to standards.
- Travel occasionally to frequent; plan around project needs.
