Job summary
Materion is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of site process automation and control systems. You will support machine profiler, vision systems, HMIs, and historian data acquisition across IT/ OT environments, coordinating with operations and validation teams.

Qualifications
- BS Degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related field and 5–10+ years of relevant professional work experience.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in design, manufacture and installation of hardware-based systems and machinery and/or plant process equipment.
- Proficiency with industrial controls & processes; able to identify and solve problems quickly.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in design, development and implementation of site process automation and control systems.
- Support full system lifecycle from design to commissioning and integration.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, upgrade and repair complex automation-based production processes.
- Develop and implement control algorithms and hardware/software-based automation tools.
- Write code, scripts and support IT/validation for automation projects.
