Job summary
Haskell in Utah seeks a lead automation engineer with broad expertise across design, programming, and startup activities for complex projects. You will oversee multi-disciplinary design, budget and schedule, coordinate vendors, and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities include conceptual and detailed design, PLC/HMI development, data collection, testing, and startup support, with travel up to 30%. A Professional Engineer license is preferred, and a BS degree in engineering is required.
Qualifications
- BS in engineering (EE/ME/Chem) required; NCARB/ABET preferred.
- 10+ years of industry experience.
- Professional Engineer license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead automation scopes across projects and coordinate design activities.
- Develop automation content and budgets; identify customer needs.
- Design low voltage power/control systems and networks.
- Create scopes of work, BOMs, specs; review drawings and IO.
- Develop PLC/HMI programs and data collection software.
- Oversee design reviews, vendor coordination, and startup support.
