Job summary

Crash Champions seeks an experienced collision repair technician to inspect damaged vehicles and plan repairs, working with a team to ensure quality results and on-time completion.

You will assess repair vs. replacement, perform repairs to manufacturer standards, and direct apprentice staff as needed. This role involves hands-on work with safety standards and professional certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a frame machine.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certified.
• Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Communicates with team on repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status.
• Decides on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access areas.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with tools.
• Directs an apprentice when needed.
