Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking an experienced collision repair professional to examine damaged vehicles and plan repair work, coordinate with teammates, and deliver high-quality repairs on schedule. The role involves evaluating safety, cost and cycle time when choosing repair vs.

replacement, and guiding an apprentice when needed. Responsibilities include removing upholstery and components to access damage, participating in safety meetings, and using power tools to finish surfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience using frame machines in body repair.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturer repair processes.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Ability to read measuring data and interpret results.
• Willing to supervise apprentices and staff.
• Must pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process.
• Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.
• Participates in all required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explains procedures to assistant.
