Job summary

Stanford Live on the Stanford campus is seeking an Audio/Video Manager to lead audio and video engineering for events and programs. You will coordinate guest engineers, oversee AV load-ins, and maintain all AV infrastructure.

The role requires strong project management and collaboration with staff across departments, with a hybrid on-campus schedule and occasional evening/weekend work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Proficient understanding of production equipment and AV systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead audio engineer for all events and coordinate guest engineers.
  • Perform live sound, webcast, and recording operations as needed.
  • Maintain AV infrastructure and coordinate equipment rentals with vendors.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
  • Assist with load-ins, stage management, and on-site video shoots.
  • Troubleshoot AV issues and perform regular maintenance.
  • Collaborate with marketing, programming, and engagement teams.
