Job summary

Stanford Live is seeking an Audio/Video Manager to lead the sound for events, coordinate with guest engineers, and maintain AV systems on campus. You will oversee live sound, webcast/broadcast operations, and archival recording, partnering with production staff and external vendors.

The role requires seven+ years in audio/video engineering, strong project management, and excellent communication skills. Hybrid on-campus work with events may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of experience in audio/video engineering preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of western symphonic instruments and stage production.
• Strong events planning, project management, administrative and organizational abilities.
• Excellent verbal skills and diplomacy when working with artists, agents and managers.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; familiarity with FinalCut/Adobe suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead audio engineer for events and projects, including live sound, webcast, and archival work.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and negotiate favorable arrangements for the concert hall.
• Assist with load-in, staging, lighting, and video setup; may serve as Stage Manager when needed.
• Maintain AV infrastructure and equipment; perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support marketing, programming, and engagement teams with audio-related projects and on-site shoots.
• Provide AV support for special projects and ensure on-time delivery.
