Job summary

Voith Group in York, PA is seeking a Supervisor of Assembly to lead the third-shift Assembly Department, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality while meeting production schedules in a union environment.

You will assign tasks, manage staffing, coach and develop staff, and drive continuous improvement with Dayforce/MES knowledge, manufacturing reporting, and collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing; 2–5 years supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising in a union environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of assembly processes and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment with safety policy compliance.
• Supervise daily assembly operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Assign, schedule, and coordinate hourly employees to support production priorities.
• Establish daily production goals, staffing, and workflow to maximize productivity.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with effective communication.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for employee growth.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain timekeeping records and production reporting using Dayforce and MES.
