Job summary

Sunrock seeks a Supervisor Asphalt Plant Operations in Wake Forest, NC to oversee daily production, quality control, maintenance, safety and plant personnel, and to assist the Asphalt Production Manager as needed.

The role requires availability across all schedules, including nights and weekends, with up to 10% overnight travel. Strong leadership, safety compliance, and communication are essential to ensure efficient, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials in English.
• Proficient math skills including rate, ratio and percent calculations.
• Proficient personal computer skills (email, databases, word processing, spreadsheets).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude relevant to plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies are followed and supervise staff.
• Train and develop employees to meet safety and performance standards.
• Monitor and enforce housekeeping, production, and quality procedures.
• Schedule and perform regular plant, site, and equipment inspections; coordinate maintenance.
• Assist Manager in hiring, training, and development activities and communicate with other functions.
