Qualifications

• This position requires thorough knowledge of specialized field of asphalt, extensive computer knowledge, and the ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments.
• Foreman must have a working knowledge of mix design and quality control associated with this field.
• Foreman must be able to understand specifications and maintenance/repairs associated with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Create an atmosphere whereby subordinates are encouraged to improve their skill set and maintain a high level of morale for themselves and other employees.
• See that crew starts working on time and ensure that they work the number of hours for which they are paid.
• Assist and direct crew in: equipment safety, performance improvement, cost control, quality improvement, and productivity.
• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned personnel in the performance of their duties, giving orientation and instruction on equipment use and maintenance.
