Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction is seeking an Asphalt Laborer to assist with placement, finishing, and maintenance of asphalt on construction projects in Treasure Valley, ID. You will support paving crews to complete work safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

This role requires outdoor work in varying weather, physical labor, and a commitment to safety. Prior paving experience is helpful but not required; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in construction or asphalt paving is helpful but not required.
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in placement, spreading, and leveling of asphalt materials.
• Support paving operations with shoveling, raking, and smoothing.
• Work around pavers, rollers, and trucks; follow safety protocols.
• Maintain clean tools, equipment, and work areas throughout projects.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment.
• Direct traffic and maintain safe work zones per OSHA and policies.
• Collaborate with crew to meet production goals; perform other duties as needed.
